Current Situation
On November 24, 2024, at 5:28 p.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department responded a first alarm structure fire assignment to the 10100 Block of Keegan Ct. Firefighters arrived to discover a smoldering fire in blown-in insulation in the attic space above a hallway and bathroom. Firefighters contained the smoldering fire and removed the blown-in insulation. The probable cause was the bathroom ceiling fan.
Fortunately, there were no injuries to civilians or firefighters. Due to the extent of damage to the ceiling and insulation, the three affected adults were displaced and opted to stay with family members. They declined the offer of assistance from the Red Cross. A restoration company was expected to repair the ceiling.
