(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

At approximately 2:55 p.m. on November 26, 2024, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to an incident involving a container spill in the #1 turn lane from westbound Alessandro Boulevard to westbound Arlington Avenue. A single engine company was dispatched to address the situation.

The container, a 275-gallon tote of glue used in concrete binding, fell from a trailer, resulting in a spill. The Riverside Police Department and City Streets Division also responded to assist with the scene.

Notification to CAL-OSHA will be made for the spill along with the City of Riverside Fire Department Prevention Division.

The company responsible for the spilled product is coordinating with Clean Harbors to safely secure the tote and conduct thorough cleanup operations on city streets.

Estimated time of mitigation will be 1900 hours.
