Current Situation
On December 17 at 0713 hours, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire at a vacant commercial building on Tyler St. The first arriving unit confirmed a working fire in an exterior wall and initiated fire attack. Firefighters worked to extinguish the fire by opening up the wall from both the exterior and interior. Arson investigators arrived and worked to determine the cause of the fire. It appears the fire started at the exterior wall and spread to the interior. The building was vacanct and no responsible party could be located. Riveside Code Enforcement responded to assist with boarding up the property and locating the owner. There were no injuries to civilians or firighters.
