Current Situation
On December 26, 2024, at 5:16 a.m., the City of Riverside Fire Department was dispatched to the 4800 block of Glenwood Drive for a reported house fire originating from the patio. Upon arrival, firefighters found the back patio fully involved in fire, with minimal spread into the attic. Firefighters quickly coordinated a fire attack while conducting a primary search of the residence. The fire was contained to the living room and patio area.
Three adults were in the home at the time, but there were no injuries reported to civilians or firefighters. The house remains habitable, and no residents were displaced.
An on-duty investigator responded to the scene, determining the cause of the fire to be accidental, originating from a fire pit on the backyard patio.
