(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

On January 9th, 2025, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to brush fire reported at the boy scout camp near Fairmont Park.  Fire department crews arrived and found a 50’ by 50’ fire burning at a slow rate of spread.  Crews made access but we challenged by the dense vegetation.  The fire was contained quickly once gained access to the fire.  Due to ember cast from palm trees an extensive search for spot fires was completed.  The area of the fire was overhauled and crews cleared from the incident.
