Full Text:

On November 30th at 7:48pm, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a mobile home on fire at 3701 Fillmore, Rancho Riverside Mobile Home Park. There were reports that the male occupant was still inside. E-12 was first to arrive, and found the elderly man outside his home and needing some medical assistance. The incoming units were deployed to assist the man and to attack the small fire in the bathroom. An activated smoke detector alerted the sleeping occupant to the fire, wherein he used a couple of extinguishers in an attempt to extinguish the fire. The fire was confined to the bathroom, which sustained some damage due to the heat and smoke. The fire did not extend into any other part of the mobile home. The gentleman was transported to Riverside Community Hospital for further medical evaluation, and the Red Cross was directed to contact him at the emergency room. The on-shift arson investigators determined the area and point of origin of the fire. The cause of the fire, while undetermined as to the exact source, appears to be electrical in nature.
