Residential Structure Fire

On March 4th at approx. 1700 hours fire units responded to the 4700 block of Beatty Ave. for a reported residential structure fire. Initial reports were explosions were heard coming from inside of the residence. Several calls were received.

First arrival units found a single story single-family residence with heavy fire and smoke issuing from the attached garage. Engine 5, Squad 5, Engine 10, Truck 3, Truck 1, Battalion 1 and Training 3 were the initial responding units.

Crews made entry through the front door and initiated fire attack. The fire was knocked down and brought under control within minutes. Most of the fire damage was contained to the garage, living room and kitchen. Two vehicles parked in the driveway also sustained heavy fire damage.

The fire is currently under investigation and the exact cause is undetermined.
