Military Wall of Honor

Riverside Honors Campaign for the Riverside Military Wall of Honor

The Riverside Military Wall of Honor was first unveiled on May 31, 1997. Its purpose was to be a great register of names of Riversiders—City and County—who lost their lives while on active duty.

On November 11, 2021, Mayor Patricia Lock Dawson launched a fundraising campaign to seek donations that supported a much-needed enhancement of this memorial. On May 24, 2022—25 years after its unveiling—there was a rededication of Riverside Veterans Plaza and Military Wall of Honor after a six-month improvement project to upgrade the memorial.

The outpouring of support for this project and dedication to maintaining its endowment has been remarkable. Sponsorships are still needed for fundraising efforts to support ongoing care and maintenance. Please consider donating to ensure this memorial remains a beautiful community space.
