This spacious room was built with several attractive features, notably the full-length mirror and a large walk-in closet. New houses of this period often had built-in closets, but they still had no bars upon which to place clothes hangers. Hooks and pegs, and shelves for accessories, recall the days when wardrobes and trunks were used for such storage.
