The Museum of Riverside participates in the Downtown Riverside ArtsWalk held the first Thursday of each month 6-9 p.m.  Activity and ending time will vary.

Steve Lech, Riverside Historical Society
“Riverside County Through the Lens of Burton Frasher”
Burton Frasher was the most prolific postcard photographer of the 1920s-1950s. Many of his postcards of Southern California and Indians of the Southwest are sought-after by collectors. Author and historian Steve Lech will discuss the life and work of Frasher and show many postcard views from throughout Riverside County.

“Life and Times of the Megalodon, the World's Largest Shark That Ever Lived”
New research shows just how big this ocean predator was, what it ate, how it lived, and why it became extinct.  Fossils of this super-shark have even been found in Riverside County, dating from the time when the area was under the Pacific Ocean.

Chinatown: A Home for All

Through June 30, 2024, visit Heritage House to see a special exhibition of Chinatown-related artifacts from the archaeological dig in the mid-1980s in Riverside. These and other objects from the collection tell the story of Riverside's Chinese migrants and their impact on the local economy and culture. See how migrant communities helped make Riverside a home for all.

Movies on the Lawn: Made in Riverside

Every third Friday during 2024, the Museum's 100th anniversary  |  gates open at sunset, film starts at dusk
Bring your own lawn chair or blanket and dress warmly. Popcorn and other snacks are available for cash purchase only.  Onsite parking is limited.
