The City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is currently in the process of creating a much needed Comprehensive Park Master Plan. The Comprehensive Park Master Plan will create a clear vision, an action plan, an updated financial strategy plan, and serve to define a clear path for providing parks, recreation and community services needs for the City of Riverside through 2030. Opportunities to participate and help define the vision!
Community workshops will be held in all Wards for community input on how the parks system can enhance your quality of life. Workshops will be held on the following dates and locations. Workshops will begin at 6 p.m. and last about 2 - 3 hours. If you aren't sure what Ward you live in, please click here for map. Spring Teen Night!
Teens will enjoy local DJ's, glow-in-the-dark egg hunt, inflatable games, raffle prizes, food vendors and more.

Free activities, age divided and special needs egg hunts, bounce houses, photos with Peter Rabbit, Spring crafts, entertainment, Fun Zone, face painting, train rides, and food vendors! Letters to Peter Rabbit
Peter Rabbit is busy getting ready for spring/Easter and would love to hear from his friends in Riverside. La Sierra Park is accepting letters to Peter Rabbit from February 12 - March 12. Peter Rabbit's response letters will be mailed by March 19. Allow one week for responses. A special letterbox is located in the community center just waiting to be stuffed of letters for Peter Rabbit.

Summer programs open house
Don't miss this opportunity to get a sneak peek and early registration for summer camps, programs and swim lessons before opened to the public and summer begins! Get a head start and plan your family's summer early. The Open House will include various "countries" in the form of camp booths with camp counselors and demonstrations, swim lesson level tests with certified lifeguards, activities for youth, sports demonstrations and much more.

Dance dance Riverside!
Does your group have what it takes to be the next Dance, Dance Riverside Champions! Groups of two-ten of any dance style are encouraged to register for the competition. The top 20 groups dance live at one of the Rhythm of Riverside Summer Concerts (held Wednesday evenings, June 13 - July 25, excluding July 4) and have a chance to win up to $2,000 in cash and prizes and be named the inaugural Dance, Dance Riverside Champions. Auditions are held at the César Chávez Auditorium (2060 University Ave.) from 5:30 - 9 p.m.

- Auditions will be held on Tuesday, May 22 for ages 5 - 12 and Teen auditions on Wednesday, May 23 for ages 13 - 17.
- Registration closes Sunday, May 13. Registration will not be accepted the night of auditions.
