Riverside, Ca- On Sunday, July 31, 2005, at about 1:41AM, Riverside Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting victim on the Eastside. Officers discovered that a 20-year-old African American male was walking on Martin Luther King Blvd near Ottawa. A white Cadillac, occupied by two Hispanic males pulled alongside him and without any known provocation, shot at him and sped away.

The victim was struck by one round and was treated at Riverside Community Hospital where he remains in critical but stable condition.

There is no additional suspect information at this time and Riverside Police Gang Detectives are investigating this incident. Anyone with information about this shooting is asked to call the Riverside Police Special Investigations Bureau at (951) 320-8100.
