Holiday Enforcement Program yields Narcotics Arrest

Riverside, Ca- On Monday November 27, 2006, Officers Kean and Misenheimer were working the Central Neighborhood Policing Center as part of the Holiday Enforcement Program. This program focuses on the combating of criminal activity in our commercial and retail areas of the city.

These officers observed three subjects loitering in the area of Madison/Indiana. When the uniformed officers attempted to contact these subjects, the subjects fled. They were detained a short distance away. During the course of the investigation, the officers learned one of the subjects was on parole for narcotics violations and in possession of twenty-six (26) “tadpoles” of heroin. A “tadpole” is a small plastic wrapping resembling this shape. The two other subjects were found to possess several syringes and six (6) additional tadpoles, respectively.

All three subjects were taken into custody and booked for the appropriate charges. The investigation is ongoing.
