Armed Robbery Suspect Sought

Riverside, Ca- Riverside Police Department investigators are urgently searching for a white male who held up two Magnolia Avenue convenience stores ay gunpoint within the last month. The assailant fired his gun at a store clerk in one robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, age 40-45, 511 to 6 feet tall, 175-190 lbs., with brown hair and a full mustache. He has worn a heavy jacket and a baseball-style cap in both robberies caught on surveillance video images. Each time, the suspect came to the counter with merchandise before displaying a steel blue revolver and demanding money and making threats.

The first incident occurred in the 9500-block of Magnolia on January 29, 2007. At that time, the robber was wearing a tan ball cap and tan jacket with a black liner. The gun was fired at the clerk before the robber fled on foot. The second incident was on the 7000-block Magnolia on February 21, 2007. The suspect wore a white ball cap and black jacket. Both robberies were in the early morning hours.
