Senior Conference coming March 21

Riverside, Ca- The Golden Years can sometimes be complicated by the complexities of personal safety, emergency preparedness, modern financial transactions and sometimes unscrupulous businesses who prey upon seniors with fraud schemes. Helpful tips are on the way!

The Riverside Police Department and the Janet Goeske Senior Center are jointly sponsoring the 4th Annual Senior Conference for City residents interested in an array of senior citizen concerns, on Wednesday, March 21, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Topics will include crime prevention, personal safety, auto repair practices, financial fraud and other issues of concern to seniors, their families and caregivers. Other businesses or organizations will also have informational displays, and a Police K-9 team will also make an appearance. All are welcome. There is no fee for the conference itself, but a $3 donation for seniors’ lunch is appreciated. Lunch cost for those under age 62 is $5.50. RSVP by Monday, March 12, is appreciated.

Contact Police Service Representative Nancy Castillo at (951) 826-5674, or email at ncast@riversideca.gov , to reserve space at this valuable and enjoyable morning conference.
