Riverside, Calif. – Riverside Public Utilities’ (RPU) water customers will receive the utility’s 2013 Water Quality Annual Report (WQAR) as an insert with their June City of Riverside statement of services. The new report is also available to view and download online at www.RiversidePublicUtilities.com
“The Water Quality Annual Report is an important source of information that shows our customer-owners how hard we work each day to maintain our service commitments and provide them with only safe, reliable, and high quality drinking water that meets or surpasses all state and federal standards for water quality,” said RPU General Manager Girish Balachandran.
“We encourage customers to review the report and keep it on hand as a reference whenever they have questions about their water supplies and water quality,” Balachandran said.
The state of California mandates that water providers must publish the report each year, which features the previous calendar year’s water quality sampling data. In 2013, RPU provided services to more than 64,591 metered water customers, producing more than 72,480 acre feet of water, including a peak demand day where it provided 95.4 million gallons of high quality water to serve its customers’ needs (one acre foot is equal to approximately 326,000 gallons).
