| Community Development Department |
Code Enforcement Division
- 2007 -- The Code Enforcement Division received
two awards in 2007 from the American Association of Code Enforcement (AACE). The first award was for Innovative Enforcement Techniques for developing a special team of investigating officers called the Investigative Neighborhood Enhancement Team (INET).
The second was for Printed Materials for developing a series of educational postcards where important information about City standards is relayed to the community through a friendly and light-hearted manner.

- 2007-08 -- The Government Finance Officers Association that the City has received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the 2007/08 Annual Budget document.
2007 -- Achievement of Excellence in Procurement Award given by the National Purchasing Institute annually to public agencies that excel in procurement practices.

- 2007 -- City of Riverside Youth Council Advisor Connie Howard Leach received the National Child Labor Committee’s prestigious Lewis Hine Award.
