Pierce Street Jazz with Doug Webb
Event Information
Pierce Street Jazz at La Sierra University will showcase saxophonist Doug Webb, a veteran of film and television soundtracks and A-list acts, with a pre-show by the Hillcrest High School Jazz Band. Mr. Webb will perform with PSJ band members Henry “the Skipper” Franklin, bass, Theo Saunders, piano, and Marvin “Smitty” Smith on drums. Mr. Webb has appeared on numerous soundtrack recordings for movies and television shows including “X-Men Wolverine,” “Die Hard 4,” “Gran Torino,” “Changeling,” “Soul Food,” “Million Dollar Baby,” “Law and Order,” “Family Guy,” and many more. He has performed with a range of famous acts including Freddie Hubbard, Stanley Clarke, Quincy Jones, Rod Stewart, Bonnie Raitt, Carly Simon and Pancho Sanchez. His band performances include Dennis Miller’s house band, the Jimmy Cleveland orchestra and 15 years with Doc Severinsen’s big band.
