Join (at any time!) Riverside Public Library's virtual book club! The book club is designed for adults and meets virtually once per month to discuss the book featured that month. For access, and also because it is free and amazing, the book club features selections from the library's free digital resource Hoopla! Hoopla is free with your library card (10 free checkouts of books, ebooks, magazines, CD's, movies, TV, graphic novels, ALL THE THINGS a month!). The best part? NO HOLDS! Everything is available immediately! And you don't even have to return it. You can sign up initially by clicking Hoopla on the library's digital content page at https://riversideca.gov/library/research.asp. Once you sign up, you can download Hoopla to nearly any device you can think of and access your materials offline, even. You can read (or listen to) the book of the month any way you'd like, but books available on Hoopla will be chosen because unlimited people can read it all at once! Then we come together typically on the final Saturday of the month on Zoom at 4:00pm and discuss!
September the group will be reading “Everything is Horrible and Wonderful” by Stephanie Wittels Wachs available immediately on eBook and audiobook on Hoopla. Resources can be found on http://theclub.hoopladigital.com/ as we all read together as part of #thehooplabookclub. Read along with us in September as we journey through a tale of siblings and addiction; a story about how just one phone call can change a life forever and suddenly leave you wondering if you should laugh, cry, or if that possum on the fence is really your brother’s spirit animal.
