Affordable Housing Projects

The Housing Authority of the City of Riverside currently has 15 affordable housing projects underway, all at various stages of development.  

The chart below lists each project and the number of permanent supportive housing units or affordable homeownership units within each project.  

2524 Mulberry Street - Environmental Assessment Determinations and Compliance Findings for HUD-assisted Projects

Mulberry Village  Habitat for Humanity 10 10 1 Building Permits have been issued. Youth Build will be participating in the construction of the homes. The project is anticipated to start mid August.
Aspire (Third and Fairmount) Innovative Housing Opportunities/RCC/County 32 32 1 Entitlements complete.  Applying for MHP funding in July 2021.  DDA, HOME, and PLHA loan agreements are completed.
Mission Heritage Wakeland Housing & Development Corp. 72 11 1 Under Construction.  Complete by Fall of 2022.  Rentup by late 2022.  
Entrada (Chicago/Linden) Wakeland Housing & Development Corp. 65 8 2 Entitled.  Financing complete by the end of 2021.  Construction to begin by summer of 2022.
Crest  City / Crest Community Church 10 10 2 High fire area map.  Awaiting outcomes of a fire protection strategy.
2550 14th Street Path of Life Ministries 2 2 2 DDA and funding agreement complete.  Project in pre-planning.  Site in escrow.  
Oasis Senior Villas A Community of Friends 95 46 2 Project Resolutions approved.   4% credits awarded.   Developer executing City HOME and PLHA Agreements.
St. Michaels Community Development Partners / St. Michaels Church / Mercy House 50 24 5 Entitled.  Project under construction. 
3753 Myers Habitat for Humanity 4 (affordable homeownership) 0 5 Construction complete.  Homebuyers moved-in late April.
Cedar Glen II Palm Communities 50 24 6 Under Construction. Project to be completed by Fall 2021.
4350 La Sierra Avenue National Community Renaissance 34 (7 affordable homeownership) 0 6 Closed escrow. Under Construction.  Phase I (18 homes) complete by the end of 2021. 
11502 Anacapa Place Northtown Housing, Inc. 2 0 7 Escrow complete.  Awaiting close of financing and issuance of building permits.
Pierce/Golden (Vista de la Sierra) La Sierra University Church / National Community Rennisance 80 34 7 Entitlements complete.  Funding Agreements approved.  Project financing complete by late 2021.  Constuction begins spring of 2022. 
Bushnell and Bogart (Sunrise at Bogart) Neighborhood Partnership Housing Services 22 22 7 Entitlements (design review) complete.  DDA and funding agreements approved.  Developer proposing alternate funding scenario.
