Housing Request for Proposals Opportunities

4350 La Sierra Community  - UPDATE

Together we are shaping future development in La Sierra.

Beginning in January 2014, the Housing Authority of the City of Riverside and Residents of the La Sierra set out to collaboratively shape the future development of La Sierra, specifically on a parcel of land located at 4350 La Sierra Avenue, owned by the Housing Authority. The Housing Authority is required by State Law to develop a residential community that will be affordable it its ultimate occupants. Unfortunately, recent changes to State Law preclude the funding of age restricted (“Senior”) housing on the site until the Housing Authority builds additional family housing.

The RFP provided below is the result of the comments and preferences of La Sierra residents received at the March 4, 2015 community meeting.

Together we can shape the future development of the Chicago-Linden area of the Eastside Neighborhood. The Housing Authority of the City of Riverside is requesting proposals for a new housing community that will serve as a model project and an anchor for the neighborhood at the northwest corner of Chicago Avenue and 7th Street.

 

The Housing Authority owns the following in-fill lots. Please submit a proposal if you are interested in developing a(n) affordable housing unit(s) on the following properties:

  • 3105 Redwood
  • 2882 Mission Inn Avenue
  • 3940 Lime Street
  • 3478 Lime Street
  • 3344 Fourth Street
  • 3893-3961 3rd Street
  • 8733 Indiana Avenue
  • 2719 & 2743 11th Street
  • 1791 N. Orange Street
  • 11049 Bogart (corner of Bushnell & Bogart)
  • 10370 Gould
  • 11502 Anacapa and APN 141-173-036
  • 2825 & 2841 Mulberry Street
