Join along as we celebrate California Clean Air Day on October 5th by taking the CLEAN AIR PLEDGE NOW and commit to actions that support clean air!

WHAT CAN YOU DO TO CLEAR THE AIR?
Below are a couple simple actions that support clean air:
- Ditch the Drive-Thru and make your coffee in the office
- Pack a lunch for work or walk to local restaurants
- Leave the car at home and
- Telecommute if approved by your manager – OR-
- Carpool, bike, or walk
- Check emails, Teams messages and texts prior to starting your car so as not to idle
- Plant indoor plants to improve air quality
- Power down: make sure all computers, printers, and lights are turned off when not in use
- Learn all about the City of Riverside Bikeways and Bicycle Program
- Limit idling your vehicle to no more than 30 seconds
- Place a single online order instead of multiple small online purchases to cut down on shipping emissions.
- Shop Riverside. Shopping locally reduces your commute and buying locally-grown produce reduces freight emissions.
- Skip the fumes on toxic products and go with natural cleaning products.
- Use environmentally safe paints.
- Reduce your overall energy consumption through energy efficient products and habits.
- Reduce or eliminate fireplace and wood stove usage.
- Avoid burning leaves, trash, and other materials.
- Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle to divert waste from landfills.
