Riverside Sings Returns! 

 Open Auditions for the 2015 Riverside Sings competition will begin Tuesday, May 19 (5 - 17 years) and Wednesday, May 20 (18 + years) at Bobby Bonds/César Chávez Community Center located at 2060 University Avenue.  Contestants are required to register online at RivReg.org or in person at the auditions.  Credit cards and checks are accepted.  Download a copy of the event flyer and registration form by clicking the flyer image.




4th of July Spectacular

The City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department will showcase two aerial fireworks shows Friday, July 4, 2015. The skies will light up promptly at 9 p.m. above Frank A. Miller Mt. Rubidoux Park located at 4706 Mt. Rubidoux Street and La Sierra Park located at 5215 La Sierra Avenue.  Both aerial firework shows will be synced the with KOLA 99.9 broadcast. 

Note public access to La Sierra Park will be restricted all day July 4 and after 10 a.m. on Mt. Rubidoux.  For additional information, please contact 951.826.2000

Operation Splash Operation Splash

The Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department (PRCSD) is teaming up with Kaiser Permanente to help economically disadvantaged Riverside residents stay cool and physically fit during the hot summer. Scholarships are available for many of the aquatic programs thanks to a generous grant from the Kaiser Foundation. Qualifying low-income residents interested in applying for the Operation Splash Scholarship Program must complete and submit the application on the reverse side, 12 days prior to the start date to PRCSD’s Main Office (6927 Magnolia Avenue, Riverside, 92506) or Community Centers.  Download an Operation Splash Scholarship Form here.
