Celebrate Independence Day with Riverside’s Fourth of July Spectacular!

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department is excited to invite the community to the Fourth of July Spectacular!

Join us in celebrating our nation’s independence with a dazzling firework display at 9 p.m. on Thursday, July 4th. This FREE event will be held at two locations: La Sierra Park (5215 La Sierra Ave.) and Mt. Rubidoux (5000 Tequesquite Ave).

Spectators are encouraged to bring their own blankets and refreshments to enjoy the show.

Important Park Access Information:

  • No Access: Carlson Dog Park and Mt. Rubidoux will be closed all day on Thursday, July 4th after 7 a.m.
  • Limited Access: La Sierra Park will have limited access starting Wednesday, July 3rd at 5 p.m. through Friday July 5th.

Fireworks Safety Reminder: The City of Riverside reminds all residents that fireworks are illegal within city limits. Anyone found using illegal fireworks could face a $1,500 fine. The city has been actively working to reduce the usage of illegal fireworks, which can cause injuries, stress veterans with PTSD, terrify animals, and spark dangerous fires.

The City urges residents to refrain from purchasing fireworks from neighboring counties and to spread the anti-fireworks message. City officials have issued warning letters to individuals previously cited for illegal fireworks use, based on reports from our 311 line.

Residents can report illegal fireworks use by:

  • Calling 311
  • Using the Riverside mobile app
  • Reporting through the Riverside 311 website

Calls made after hours will be directed to a non-emergency dispatcher for documentation and follow-up. Reports can be made anonymously.

For more information, please contact the City of Riverside Parks, Recreation and Community Services Department at (951) 826.2000 or email [email protected].
