Drift Smoke Alert Due to a Prescribed Burn

The City of Riverside Fire Department, in collaboration with partnering agencies, will conduct a prescribed burn in the Sycamore Canyon area. The City has prepared the site with preconstructed fire breaks to ensure safe operations. During the morning hours, the Fire Department will be active in and around River Run Drive. Fire hydrants near the field will be utilized and parking lots will be used for operational purposes. Please be aware depending on weather conditions, some smoke may drift and linger in the area during the operation. We kindly ask you avoid loitering in the vicinity of Fire Department activities during this time.
Prescribed Burn location: Sycamore Canyon, approximately eight acres a day.
Location: To the rear of 6681 River Run Dr.
Date: June 11th & 12th
Time: 8:00 am – 12:30 pm
Duration: Approximately 4 hours
