Trautwein Rd. & Mission Grove Pkwy. to Alessandro Blvd. & Barton St.

RIVERSIDE, Calif. – The City of Riverside Public Works Department is starting an emergency construction project to repair a failed sewer line. The project will repair the underground sewer pipe that runs along Trautwein Road from Mission Grove Parkway to Alessandro Boulevard at Barton Street. Below is a project location map. Construction will start next week and is anticipated to be completed in November 2017.  During construction, the Trautwein Road northbound dedicated right turn onto eastbound Alessandro Boulevard will be closed.  It is recommended that motorists plan accordingly and use alternate routes.

As construction progresses, the right-hand lane on northbound Trautwein Road and the right-hand lane on eastbound Alessandro Boulevard will also be closed.  In order to shorten the construction duration and minimize impacts to the community, the contractor has been authorized to work after hours and weekends to complete the project.

The first phase of construction is to install an above ground wastewater bypass line so that the below ground pipe can be emptied and repaired. Once the bypass line is installed, construction and repair of the below ground line will be completed in stages. The contractor will start on Alessandro Blvd. at Barton St. and work their way down Alessandro to Trautwein Rd. ending at the Mission Grove Parkway intersection.

Project questions or concerns can be directed to SAK Contractors (562) 292-4268.
