Regional Stay Home Order, State of California
Published: 12/05/2020
Per the State of California: To preserve our health care system, the Regional Stay Home Order goes into effect if intensive care unit (ICU) capacity drops below 15% in a region. Counties in the region will be subject to new restrictions. All individuals living in the State of California are currently ordered to stay home or at their place of residence, except for permitted work, local shopping or other permitted errands, or as otherwise authorized.
The Regional Stay Home Order (PDF) will go into effect at 11:59 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 6. It prohibits private gatherings of any size, closes sector operations except for critical infrastructure and retail, and requires 100% masking and physical distancing in all others.
The order will remain in effect for at least 3 weeks and, after that period, will be lifted when a region’s projected ICU capacity meets or exceeds 15%. This will be assessed on a weekly basis after the initial 3 week period. Read State of California order details here: https://covid19.ca.gov/stay-home-except-for-essential-needs/
