Should every parent be worried about online enticement?
The answer to that question is YES. Predators have no boundaries. If your child has access to the internet then they can have access to your child.
What is online enticement?
Online Enticement is when someone is communicating with a child via the internet with the intent to exploit them. In most cases, there is a sexual intent.
Please watch this video from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC) which is based on a fast growing crime known as sextortion.
Sextortion is a form of online enticement that consists of non-physical forms of coercion to force the victim into posing nude or perfoming sexually explicit acts on camera. Online perpetrators start by gaining your trust pretending to be someone they are not.
