
NEW Riverside Rec Club
Meet our NEW Riverside Rec Club, a FREE after-school program for students in Kindergarten through 6th grade. Children enjoy a safe, supervised environment with homework assistance, outdoor play, crafts, board games, and reading activities. Programs are available at all City of Riverside Community Centers with school walk pick-up offered at Bordwell, Nichols, Orange Terrace, Reid, and Villegas.
The S.T.A.R. Program is offered at the following locations:
• Bordwell Park* - 2008 MLK Blvd.
• Bryant Park - 7950 Philbin Ave.
• Hunt Park - 4015 Jackson St.
• La Sierra Park - 5215 La Sierra Ave.
• Nichols Park* - 5505 Dewey Ave.
• Orange Terrace Park* - 20010 Orange Terrace Pkwy.
• Reid Park* - 701 N. Orange St.
• Villegas Park* - 3091 Esperanza St.
Monday - Friday | 3 - 6 p.m. (1:30 - 6 p.m. on early release days)
Fee: FREE | $10 Non-Resident ($30 Pick-up Fee)
Kids in Action After School Program
Our Kids in Action After-School program offers a dynamic and engaging environment for children aged 5 - 12 (up to 6th grade). Led by experienced staff, we provide a variety of activities to promote self-esteem and personal growth. From intramural sports and games to arts and crafts, homework assistance, and recreation activities, our program caters to diverse interests.
The Kids in action after school program is now being offered at the following locations:
• Bourns Family Youth Innovation Center - 9595 Miller St.
Monday - Friday | 3 - 6 p.m. (1:30 - 6 p.m. on early release days)
Fee: $67.50 per participant ($99.50 Non-Resident) | Additional Sibling Rate $30 per participant ($45 Non-Resident)
This program does not meet on City holidays, school holidays, school in-service, parent/teacher conference days and/or minimum days and operates during the traditional school year (unless noted below). Registration is taken on a first-come, first-serve basis and a wait list will be taken after capacity is reached. Space is limited, register early. Extended care for early release days is offered at $12 per participant per month. Parent/guardian must provide daily snacks.
