Parking Services

The Parking Division is charged with promoting and maximizing parking opportunities that contribute to improving the quality of life in its residential and commercial areas citywide.

Parking Division staff operates and manages the city’s parking facilities including parking enforcement, citation processing, preferential parking, and installation and management of parking meters and signs.

Restrictions apply to downtown, street sweeping, and special events parking.

Downtown Parking

 Parking lots and garages offer hourly/visitor parking, monthly permit parking, reserved parking and metered parking. Before leaving your car, check the posted signs for time limit information.

• Curbside metered parking is available throughout downtown Riverside. Meter times are Monday through Friday 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
• Free parking on weekends and holidays.

Justice Center Parking

The Justice Center provides the latest in parking technology, offering improved customer convenience and reliability. Before leaving your car, check your space number to enter into the meter. Payment options include:

• Pay with bills, coins, tokens or credit cards
• Pay at any meter for any space
• Add time to a purchased space
• Pay by cell phone
