Walk to End Homelessnes 5K

April 13, 2019

The Riverside Ending Homelessness Fund’s 5K Walk to End Homelessness will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2019 at Fairmount Park, located at 2601 Fairmount Blvd., Riverside, CA.

Our goal is to raise $35,000 dollars to provide individuals and families the items necessary to transition out of homelessness into permanent housing and obtain employment. Thanks to federal and state funded programs, some of these needs can be met, but often times, many of the most obvious needs are excluded like: refrigerators, beds, school text books and supplies, fees for testing and licensing, tools of the trade, work boots, tape measures, or kitchen tools for culinary occupations. In order to meet this goal we are requesting sponsorships from local businesses and support from individual community members.

Author Todd Strasser will be present to discuss and sign copies of his new book “No Place." Strasser will also be at the Riverside Main Library at 3911 University Ave. to sign copies of the book beginning at 3 p.m.
