Join us for a special screening of "Dalip Singh Saund: His Life, His Legacy" and
panel discussion with Congressman Mark Takano, the director Samantha Cheng, and
Museum & Cultural Affairs Director, Sarah Mundy. The money raised from the event
will go toward the National Historic Landmark Harada House and the Robinson
House Interpretive Center. Refreshments will include dessert and coffee.
About the Documentary
Dalip Singh Saund: His Life, His Legacy tells the inspiring story of an ethical
and passionate man who rises above prejudice and racism during one of this
Nation’s most challenging times all the while living the American Dream.
Congressman Dalip S. Saund represented the 29th district in Southern
California’s agricultural region. He was the first Asian, the first Indian and
the first Sikh elected to the U.S. House of Representatives and served three
terms from 1957-1963.
This documentary is the first in the series of the Asian
Pacific American Members of Congress History Project
produced by the Heritage Series, LLC
