About the Interim City Manager

Thomas R. Hatch serves as the Interim City Manager for the City of Riverside, overseeing the City's day-to-day operations and working closely with the Mayor, City Council, employees, and community to advance the Council's priorities during the City's leadership transition.

Hatch brings more than 36 years of executive leadership experience in local government throughout Southern California. Throughout his career, he has served in leadership roles with the cities of Walnut, Brea, South Pasadena, West Covina, El Monte, Costa Mesa, Orange, Santa Ana, Santa Fe Springs, and Placentia, as well as the County of Orange.

Hatch holds an Associate of Arts degree from Mt. San Antonio College, a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from California State University, Fullerton, and a Master of Public Administration from California State University, Fullerton.
