Current Situation

On 11/01/2025, at 1052 hours, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire in the 6800 block of Astoria. The first arriving unit discovered a working fire to the rear of a single-family home. Crew members performed an aggressive attack on the fire and contained the fire to the structure. The home sustained major fire damage. There were two injuries to home residents, and they were evaluated by on scene AMR unit. Both residents did not get transported to the hospital. There were also three dogs that were rescued from the home. The dogs were unharmed. Fire Arson investigator arrived on scene, and the fire is currently under investigation. Red Cross assisted with a total of 4 misplaced residents. Code Enforcement was contacted because of the home being unhabitable.
