Current Situation
On February 22nd, 2023, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a structure fire reported at the 2000 block of Atlanta. Fire department crews arrived on scene and found a large stack of pallets containing hand sanitizer burning. The pallets were stored against a large commercial warehouse. The fire was wind driven and extended to additional pallets of hand sanitizer on the property. Fire department crews made an aggressive attack on the fire. It was contained to the pallets and caused damage to the exterior of the building. Riverside Fire Prevention is on scene to coordinate the clean up and proper disposal of the remaining materials. The cause of the fire is under investigation. There were not any civilian for firefighter injuries reported.
