Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department is currently on scene at Buchanan Street Bridge X Magnolia Ave for the smell of smoke and smoke coming from the bridge utility access area.
RCTC was in the process of securing the access plates to the bridge, when they observed and smelled smoke coming from the bridge utility access opening. The fire department is in the process of a confined space entry into the bridge utility access opening to locate the source of the smoke.
