    Current Situation

(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

On February 24, 2025, The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a possible structure fire reported at 1100 Citrus Dr.  Fire Department crews arrived and found vegetation burning behind a large commercial warehouse.  The fire was burning with a slow rate of spread.  Crews made an aggressive attack on the fire and kept it contained at 50’ by 50’.  A fire department investigator arrived on scene and determined the fire was likely human caused and originated inside a homeless encampment.  The fire department remained on scene and extinguished any remaining hot spots.  There were not any civilian or firefighter injuries reported.
