    Current Situation

    On Friday May 24, 2019 at 01:49 a.m., The City of Riverside Fire Department responded a first alarm assignment to the 8300 block of Coleman for a single story residential structure fire. Firefighters arrived to discover a fully involved garage fire. Firefighters performed an aggressive fire attack and held the fire to the garage. The structure was evacuated prior to our arrival. A primary and secondary search was completed with no residents or pets found in the structure. All residents were able to escape with no injuries. Residents were awaken to the fire by neighbors. One vehicle in the driveway was damaged from the fire. A total of 17 personnel responded to the incident. There were no firefighter injuries. A total of 8 residents were displaced with 4 adults and 4 children. The estimated property loss is at $200,000 with $100,000 contents loss with a save of $350,000. There was smoke and heat damage throughout the house. Arson Investigators are on scene currently conducting an investigation. Red Cross has been requested to the scene to assist with the displaced residents.
