Current Situation

On April 11, 2025 City of Riverside Fire Department units responded to a report of an off-road rescue and medical aid in the Arlanza area. The first arriving unit was directed by bystanders who led them to a 16 year old male who had been operating an electric bike offroad and sustained injuries after riding into a small depression within a dry stream bed. A Truck Company, All-Terrain Vehicle 3, and Battalion 2 were requested to the scene.  The patient was provided medical treatment and then ultimately extricated from the depression using a Stokes basket carrying the patient to the waiting ambulance.  The entire operation took approximately 1 hour, and the patient was transported to the nearest Trauma Center.  There were no reported firefighter injuries.
