Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a medical aid. The reporting party stated that an unknown odor from a bag outside the facility had made employees sick. The first-arriving company reported three patients experiencing symptoms related to the unknown odor outside the building. The patients were properly decontaminated and transported to a local hospital with minor symptoms. The City of Riverside Fire Department Hazardous Materials Team was requested and arrived on scene. The team made entry into the suspected area with air-monitoring equipment to ensure there was no immediate danger to the public. Coordination was conducted with Riverside County Environmental Health (ETS) to confirm the odor was not a threat, and the scene was released back to Riverside County ETS officials. Fire Department with a commitment time of approximately two hours for mitigation efforts. Battalion 1 Stibal was in command of the County Farm Incident.
