Final Update
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a reported vegetation fire in the 5600 block of Crest Ave, cross of Campbell. The first arriving engine company reported a wind driven brush fire behind the dispatched address. Additional units were requested, and firefighters aggressively engaged the fire by stretching hose lines behind the home. The fire was burning in the back yard of two properties off of Robinson Dr. Damage from the fire included an outbuilding that was used as storage, as well as one vehicle. The source of the fire was determined to be a power line that came in contact with a tree branch. Riverside Power responded to assess the situation. There were no injuries reported to civilians or firefighters.
The City of Riverside Fire Department is on scene in the 5600 Block of Crest Ave X Campbell with several backyards on fire. The fire's forward progress has been stopped. Committment time is 2 hours. Battalion 2 is the Crest IC. Station move-up have taken place. There are hard road closures. See attached map.
