Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a possible structure fire. Upon arrival the first in engine company found an early 1900’s three story barn approximately 3000 square feet fully involved with fire. It had an attached carport and out build that were part of the structure. A second alarm assignment was requested. Crews made an aggressive defensive fire attack operation and subdued the flames and stop the forward spread. The fire was under control in 45 minutes. The structure was a total loss.
Investigator 3 was on scene and conducted the fire investigation. The fire cause was undetermined.
The property is supplied by solar panels and the power was shut off at the panel.
Crews continued to overhaul and mop the fire through day light.
