Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire. The first unit on scene found smoke coming from the wall and roof of the building. Crews made an aggressive offensive fire attack containing the fire to a corner wall of the structure while conducting a primary search ensuring all occupants had evacuated. Battalion Chief White was in command of the Cypress incident. The fire was fully extinguished and overhauled, limiting damage to the store’s merchandise. The cause of the fire was determined to be accidental. The property was turned back over to the owner with no reported injuries
