Current Situation

On June 26th, 2025, The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a vegetation fire reported behind the Dollar Tree store at the 8700 block of Trautwein Rd.  The first arriving engine reported a working fire in the drainage area behind the store.  There was a moderate threat to the surrounding commercial buildings and a spot fire reported across Trautwein Rd.  A total of three alarms responded to the incident.  Additionally, three truck companies responded to check the roofs of the adjacent buildings.  Firefighters were able to keep the fire contained to the drainage area and there was not any property damage to the surrounding buildings.  The fire was placed under control at 1900 Hrs.  Riverside Fire Department Investigators arrived on scene to determine the fire’s cause.  The cause is undermined but most likely human related.  There were not any injuries to civilians or firefighters reported.
