(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

On May 21, 2023 at 1720 hours, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a brush fire in the Hole Lake area, in Ward 7.  The first arriving engine reported a 1/4 acre fire in heavy brush with access off of Doolittle Cir.  Threee engine companies worked together to deploy hose lines and limit the spread of the fire.  Initial reports placed a suspiscious vehicle at the scene just prior to the fire starting.  Riverside City Fire Investigators responded to the incident and conducted a preliminary investigation on the origin and cause.  No firefighters or civilians were injured.
