Current Situation
At 1332 hours on 7/8/2025, the City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of an "unkown" fire in the area of Tyler and Arlington. The first arriving engine found vegetation fire burning in the backyard of a residence in the 6500 Block of Gaylord. The fire had spread to trash and debris in the adjacent property and was threatening a business at 10333 Arlington. Firefighters quickly deployed hoselines from Garylord and Arlington to control the fire's progression and protect homes and businesses. The fire was placed under control and no structures were damaged. The cause of the fire appears to be accidental in nature, and is related to grinding metal near dry grass. There were no injuries to firefighters or civilians.
