Current Situation
The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a report of a structure fire in the 4400 block of Highland Place. The first arriving unit reported working fire conditions in a detached garage to the rear of a single-story house. Fire department crews initiated fire attack on the garage and a primary search was completed. Follow up reporting indicated no fire extension to the residence. The incident took 18 firefighters 1 hour to achieve a knock down, overhaul, and complete a cause and origin investigation. Battalion 2 Richmond was in command of the Highland Incident. There were no reported civilian of firefighter injuries.
