    INCIDENT UPDATE - 10/31/2019 1400 hours Fire crews continue to overhaul several commercial structures on Jasmine Avenue and Industrial Way. Public Utilities and the Gas Company are on scene to secure and re-establish gas and electricity. Fire investigators have confirmed that wind driven embers from the Riverside County river bottom vegetation incident was the cause of the fire. INCIDENT UPDATE - 10/31/2019 1100 hours The City of Riverside Fire Department is currently working two separate commercial fires that are associated with a large river bottom fire Riverside County is working named the 46 Fire. 5947 Jasmine – Large commercial business storing wooden pallets sustained significant damage – Fire is under control. Mop-up and overhaul is in progress. Cause is under investigation. 6300-6400 block of Industrial – Several commercial buildings sustained significant damage. Fire is under control. Mop-up and overhaul is in progress. Cause is under investigation It appears these incidents may be co-mingled, as each fire may have been caused by a vehicle that crashed into the river bottom, igniting the vegetation. There are no reports of injuries to any civilians or firefighters.
