Current Situation
On May 14th, 2025, The City of Riverside Fire Department responded to a brush fire reported near Jurupa and Acorn. Fire Department crews arrived and found ¼ acre burning in light flashy fuels with a slow rate of spread. With the assistance of the Riverside Police Department, Air 1, the fire was contained at the ¼ of an acre. A homeless encampment nearby was determined to be the area of origin, and the fire was most likely human caused. There were not any civilian or firefighter injuries reported.
