    Current Situation

(Recent updates are posted at the top of the Current Situation)

The City of Riverside responded to a structure fire at the Oasis Senior Villas. Fire department crews arrived at a four-story apartment complex and found smoke coming from a first-floor room. Firefighters made a quick and an aggressive attack to extinguish the fire. Upon investigation, they discovered the fire started in a dumpster stored in a garbage chute collection room. The fire was confined to the room of origin.  A Riverside Fire Department Arson Investigator was on scene, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.  There were not any injuries to civilians or firefighters reported, and no residents were displaced due to the incident.
